Ellesmere College is a fully co-educational school set in the beautiful English countryside. Founded in 1884, the school offers students between the ages of 7 to 18 the chance to achieve success in both their studies and a wide range of activities, including music, art, sport, and drama, in a happy, friendly atmosphere.

Great Britain has a world-wide reputation for its high standards of education and here at Ellesmere College that tradition is supported by concentrating on the academic and social needs of every student. The college prepares students for their GCSEs, A-Levels and the International Baccalaureate as well as giving them the opportunity to enjoy a full and varied sports and social program.

Standing in its own stunning grounds covering more than 50 hectares, the school is conveniently located near the small, historic town of Ellesmere, and is less than 100 kilometers from both of England's second major cities, Manchester, and Birmingham. This ideal location means students can benefit from the vast range of activities both cities have to offer whilst living and studying in a tranquil English country setting.

Sport and team games play an important role in physical and mental development. The college provides physical education in the curriculum as well as opportunities to play competitive sport during and after school. A large number of sports programs and clubs are available so that all pupils can find something to suit their particular tastes. Whether joining in the fun during the summer in the swimming pool, or spending evenings at onsite gymnasium, the students benefit from the fresh air and physical fitness.

Ellesmere's educational philosophy is that all the students learn differently. Ellesmere knows that students develop at different rates and at different times. The support for each individual student is tailored so they can confidently embark on the journey and become 'Life Ready', offering students the very best in education today and are now an accredited 'High Performance Learning World Class School 2021'.

All Ellesmere students, of all ages develop leadership and entrepreneurial skills through team sports, the Combined Cadet Force, and the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme, as well as personal confidence through public speaking initiatives.
