Located in California’s Olympic Valley, Lake Tahoe Preparatory School is a coeducational, college preparatory school serving 80 students in grades 9 through 12. Their students benefit from the robust curriculum approved by the University of California, small class size, individualized learning, and access to yearlong outdoor sports. Lake Tahoe Prep School is a boarding school that includes a campus nestled in the Olympic Valley at the edge of the Tahoe National Forest. The campus is two miles from Squaw Valley Ski Resort and all students receive a Squaw Valley/Alpine Meadows season ski pass with their LTP tuition. LTP boarding students gain a strong sense of family and community by living with usually one-two roommates in a shared room. The residential buildings have in-residence adult chaperones, free-of-charge laundry facilities, limited high-speed internet, and lounges. Cell phones are allowed on campus, and use is generally limited to the hours after classes end. Use may also be restricted during study hall, athletic activities, and overnight. Students are expected to use cell phones only at appropriate times, and in locations which are not intrusive to other members of the community.

At Weekends, for those seeking a city excursion, the school offers excursions to Lake Tahoe, Truckee, Reno, Sacramento, San Francisco, and other nearby towns and cities, as well as provides a variety of shopping opportunities, restaurants. Students and staff also visit art and history museums, musicals, plays.

The Lake Tahoe Preparatory School is aimed to give their students authentic opportunities for growth and accomplishment to develop competency and confidence. Do not miss the opportunity to become the honored students of LTP.
