U.S. Department of Education Makes Available $36 Billion in American Rescue Plan Funds to Support Students and Institutions

May 25, 2021

This investment is provided by ARP’s Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund, and with the help of this fund institutions can be able to provide relief to students in need. In order to help schools effectively use the ARP funds to support their students, ED cultivated instructions detailing how institutions can use these funds, support those students who are under risk and those, whose education was stopped because of pandemic. There are several ways that the fund can be used and be beneficial for students: using the emergency funds to support students with exceptional needs, retention and reengagement of students, to vaccinate students for COVID-19. These funds are created to ensure student’s education, to help them have the chance to enroll, continue education and graduate without any obstacles.
